My pal Jack as a gawky 15 year old went to see Big Bro and the Holding Company, not knowing that the lead singer he'd heard on the radio was Janis. Standing around before the show a wild Hippie gal with feather boas and crazy hair breezed by, looked him straight in the eyes and said "Welcome"...he said he felt at ease and welcome after that....and did the biggest double take when that hippie gal took the stage...Happy Birthday Janis.
