Off the Deep End

Into every life some rain must fall, but when we insulate ourselves from adversity we only grow frail like the sheltered marigold or the pale and sallow buttocks thrust into the heat of a searing summer sun. Embrace the biting winds and walk without dread through the worsening deluge. Seat yourselves among friends and make a joyous noise with vim and vigor.
Our goals are separated from us only by fear.
